Welcome to the Alamo Community Foundation Website!
The Foundation was formed to educate the public about the independent studies of Alamo incorporation that are required by the State and to raise private funds to pay for them.
We value the State studies. They are a source of impartial information that Alamo residents will get about how incorporation will affect our community. We want Alamo voters to be able to use the study results so they can make informed decisions when they vote in March, 2009 about whether or not they want to incorporate Alamo.
The Foundation will work with the State, community organizations, and the media to ensure that the results are available to all those who want to see and discuss them.
If you would like to be added to our e-mail list, please email info@alamocommunity.org. We will let you know anytime something new is posted to this website!
What's New???
The election is set for March 3, 2009. Voters will vote for or against incorporation and they will also vote for the five-person Town Council.
CBS highlights Alamo incorporation in December. Please see the In The News section of the website for that article and telecast.
If you'd be interested in running for the Town Council, you should file your candidate papers with the County Elections Division (555 Escobar St., Martinez) between November 10 and December 5, 2008. You can call them at (925) 335-7874. Please see the In The News section of the website for that article.
Alamo Today and Danville Weekly wrote articles in November on recent Alamo Incorporation events. Please see the In The News section of our website for those articles.
